eli1ah: Going out to NYC back in April was a big deal. Met some great people, checked loads of new music and it really motivated a crazy amount of new ideas I have for Butterz going forward. DJing at Trouble & Bass is one of my 2012 highlights, will never forget that.  I had to go back within a few weeks, and I spent even longer and connected with even more people, and has given me about 3 years worth of goals to work towards now. Mishka really put me on to a bunch of talented people out there using the music in a totally different context. Carrie Wilds sings over a bunch of instrumentals we play regularly on our radio show from people like Terror, S-X and TRC. Strangely enough nobody is doing that over here, I thought it was pretty cool and DJ’d for her at the mixtape launch at the Mishka Store back in June. DJ Shiftee (check his amazing videos on youtube) caught my attention as he was playing a lot of the same producers we are over here, but with a scratching background he presents the music totally different to everyone else. I approached him with the idea back in June when I went back to NYC and he was up for it. It took a while of back and forth, but I’m really happy with the results.  Thanks to Shark, Star Eyes, RX, Danny Brown + Fools Gold, DK on the design and all the producers and MCs for the music.  Thought it would be a perfect opportunity to launch it with another collaboration: Butterz x New Era. People have been asking me to do hats for a long time, but I wanted to wait for the right opportunity and the right company to do it with. Took a lot of planning, but it was definitely worth it. They look sick.  For the last few months the whole team have been working on putting together our first club tour. It wasn’t too long ago we couldn’t get any shows because of the negative ‘grime’ stigma but we have turned that around totally with the Cable parties over the past 12 months and we can begin spreading the Butterz vibes across the country. Will be more news on it shortly and possibly some more dates added. But if any of those shows are local for you, put the date in the diary now.  Now that a tour, merchandise and a mixtape are out there. You know whats next. BR012. We are working on it… Elijah
